Join the ladies of Xi Chapter of Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority, Inc. as we explore the direct actions women can do to impact change and growth in Syracuse, New York.

We are thrilled to have some of Central New York's most dynamic women involved in this interactive event!

Deputy Mayor Sharon Owens will be the keynote speaker discussing "How and why women and women groups play an important role in improving the quality of life in Syracuse."

Our Panelists include:

Helen Hudson, President, Syracuse Common Council speaking on impacting the political process

Akua Goodrich, Director Student Registration SCSD speaking on impacting the education of our children

Adjuah Williams, RN Case Manager speaking on impacting health care

Twiggy Billue, President, National Action Network Syracuse Chapter speaking on impacting criminal justice

Elham Abraham, Director of Refugee Support Program, Community Cares of Syracuse speaking on impacting the lives of refugees and immigrants

Our Moderator for the afternoon is Eva Williams, SCSD Principal Van Duyn Elementary School and closing remarks will be given by poet and journalist Jackie Warren Moore.

This event is an interactive working plated lunch with panelist presenting ideas on direct actions that will make a difference for Syracuse. The audience will discuss ideas over lunch and report out.
